The video, in which a 5-year-old weeping youngster walks alone among a crowd of strangers, has gone viral.
Vanya is the name of this hero, and he had to flee Ukraine alone for Poland since his mother and grandmother had already left, while he was with his father. The infant lost communication with his father during the fighting, but volunteers and compassionate individuals did not abandon him.
Vanya was moved from hand to hand for two days on the way until he arrived in Poland. Iryna, a volunteer, kept in touch with her young Ukrainian companions throughout the journey. She found him at the border late at night and turned him back to his family.
«After three days, we’ve reached a pleasant conclusion,» the volunteers exclaim.
